I hate introductions. They tend to be self-involved, and I don't like people to think that I am that way. I may talk about myself every once in awhile, but I would be much more interested in hearing about you and other people. But, since the basics are a must in this situation, I will give you a run down.

I am 23 years old and live in the small town I was raised in Minnesota. I used to go to a community college but discovered I couldn't afford it. I now work as a video clerk and photo lab tech at a large grocery chain until I figure out what I really want to do, which is a toss-up right now between working with children, or photography. I love both, and really just need a career where I can incorporate them both.

I was a music major... vocal performance. I enjoy the arts and am looking at experiencing it a lot more with someone more mature and experienced than I am.

I want to learn all I can about everything really. Since my time off from school, I have really been craving just.... learning, I guess. Something to fill my time and my head. Something to make me more intelligent, smart, and something to help me contribute to the world.

I was a camper there for 8 years, worked there one summer, and have been volunteering ever since. I will be going back up there this summer to lead a photography camp I helped create. It's a rough and tumble rustic camp, and any person I should ever happen to get involved with must love Star Lake as much as I do. Dealbreaker. Don't worry though, it is an easy place to love. =)

I consider myself a homebody so generally enjoy staying in and reading, writing in my journal, or watching a good movie. But that's only one side of me. When I do get out in this beautiful weather, it's to walk, go camping, try my hand at fishing, or even try something new and exciting! Maybe there's something you could teach me!

I enjoy going to sporting events, especially hockey games. I would watch them on t.v., too, but being at the arenas make the game so much more thrilling! There's nothing quite as exciting as watching the players slam against the glass (especially if I'm on the other side of it!)!

I would rather have cottage cheese and pineapple than ice cream, even though I love ice cream. I love campfires, good friends, a sparkling lake, star-gazing on a clear night, movies, a good pen and a new notebook, autumn and the smell of dry leaves, marching bands and small town parades, the entire Christmas season, softly falling snow, the fresh smell of new snow, a baby's smile, clean sheets, a good massage that doesn't have to "go anywhere", studying the Word, some TV (The History Channel, HGTV, TLC, and NatGeo are a few of my favorites), and the smell of a new box of Crayolas. Someone mentioned freshly mown hay and sweet clover and I'm taking those on as my own as well!

I'm a patient, kind of goofy person who loves family and friends, cooking out, taking the grandchildren to the park, and love trying new things, just to see if I can do them. One thing I've done that totally shocks people who know me is a form of bungee jumping (free-falling from 150 ft. in a harness, then swinging until stopping)...since I'm afraid of heights, this even shocks me! I had to do it...I don't have to do it again.

I am a single parent of 2 great kids! My 9 yo son lives with me and my 23 yo daughter is on her own. I have a beautiful 2 yo grandson whom I try to see as much as possible. Well i do construction, work all over minneapolis and surounding areas. Its a ok gig, somedays better then others. Im a simple type guy. I have grown enough to know ican have fun without having to get drunk i do have a few drinks now and then but nothing ever more then a few.

I can be a little bit introverted at times and a bit extroverted at other times. It all bepends on the quality of people around and the situation that im in. Horrible with dates, i forget my own birthday even,xc but i never need a reason to make some one feel special. Friendly, kind, compassionate, I look at most things in a very practical way. I can be a tad unperdictable sometimes, both good and bad lol. I like going against the conventions every now and then. Usually, very soft spoken, but can surprise you by passing very offhanded remarks and statements. I have fun experimenting and exploring random things or places, even people. Listining to every word they say painting a picture in me to remember them by. I might analyze some one but i would never hold any judgement of them on it. I enjoy a wide variety of things. Sometimes it's nice to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie. Other times a weekend (or longer) camping trip. If it's a nice day, just going for a drive with a rough destination in mind. I'd enjoy going to the theater as well. I haven't been able to for a while due to my work schedule. I also enjoy outdoor festivals. Basically, I'm not one to sit home if there's something fun to do but I also know that you don't have to spend lots of money to have fun.

I'm a night owl by choice but I'm functioning as a morning person due to changes at work. But I'm still employed so I can't complain! lol

Bars or clubs have never really interested me. I guess partially its from not seeing any reason to drink. Now this doesn't mean that I have a problem with others drinking, it's just not something I chose to do.

Another hobby of mine is home improvement. The hard part is finding time for the projects that I can handle. And yes, I do know when there's a project that I should bring in professionals for.

I did this last hoping it would be easier after I filled out the rest (I was wrong). OH well lets try, I really enjoy the outdoors, I spend quite a few hours on the lake fishing or just walking through the woods (usually with my kids).

I love to be around others, I am a social person and have stories to be be told. I was quite a risk taker in my past and still want to take the ultimate jump (skydiving). I like to travel and see new places but content at home. I can usually make the most of any situation.

The usage of DIY solar energy is getting popular day by day, and I hope in the next few years we will be seeing people use DIY solar panels everywhere.
